Site fence hire prices
Quotes from different suppliers are not comparable until you break them into the same items. Below are all the parts of the rate, so you know what to ask about.
What a hire quote is made of
| Item | How it is calculated | When it applies |
|---|---|---|
| Panel hire | per running metre per month | always |
| Feet and couplers | included in the set | always |
| Gate or pedestrian gate | per unit per month | when the site has an entrance |
| Transport to site | flat rate from the regional depot | always |
| Return transport | flat rate, same route | always |
| Installation | per running metre | when ordered with installation |
| Dismantling | per running metre | when ordered with installation |
| Deposit | percentage of the set value, refundable | on the first order |
| Damage | from the parts list, after collection | only where items are missing or damaged |
The actual rates depend on running metres, hire length and region. Give us those three and the quote comes back split exactly along the items above.
Prices: common questions
Why do suppliers' quotes differ so much?
Because some quote the per-metre rate alone, without transport, installation and dismantling. Add up every item in the table above before you compare.
Does the rate drop on a longer hire?
Yes. Above six months the monthly rate is lower than on a one-month hire, because transport is spread over a longer period.
Is a deposit always required?
On the first order, yes. For ongoing cooperation we agree terms individually.
A quote split into items
Send us running metres, dates and location. You get the quote laid out like the table above, with no catch-all line for other costs.
