Six ways to cut the cost without breaking the rules
None of them touches the height of the fence, because that is where the regulations set a minimum.
Mix panels by zone
Solid panels only where dust and sightlines matter, mesh elsewhere. The difference adds up across the whole perimeter.
Phased deliveries
Fencing arrives in stages that follow the programme, so you do not pay for metres sitting in a stack on site.
Hire on short projects
Under three months hire beats buying, because storage and resale disappear from the sum.
Used goods
Checked second-hand panels work like new ones and cost less. Worth it wherever appearance is secondary.
Buy-back after completion
When buying, count the buy-back into the calculation from the start: the residual value lowers the cost of the project.

Transport runs from the nearest of 20 depots rather than across the country. That is the item that inflates many quotes.
Costs: common questions
How many panels do I need for my site?
Divide the perimeter by the width of one panel and count one foot per joint plus one extra at each end. For the gate and the pedestrian gate, subtract their width from the perimeter.
Do you publish prices without an enquiry?
Product pages carry indicative net prices. A binding quote depends on quantity, dates and location, so we prepare it individually.
Is fencing from a DIY store cheaper?
On paper often yes, on a project rarely. It leaves out transport both ways, replacement of damaged panels and collection after completion, and those items decide the final sum.
